Project pinkg
„It is better to spend 15 seconds wrapping your chewing gum than 15 minutes removing it from your sole (and not only from the sole).“
- 10 small pieces of recycled paper placed inside the folded paper are changing the world > They make it better, cleaner and more sophisticated.
- unusual form of advertising, targeted sales promotion and marketing support
- portable multifunctional medium
Everyone, who tried to remove the chewing gum from his handkerchief, tablecloth or trousers, knows how difficult it is. Nevetheless, the principle of PINKG is very simple. Where to put the gum, which has already lost its flavor or which suddenly hampers? To wrap it and throw it into the trash! But ..Where to find such a piece of paper? Those, that know and recognize possitive impact of PINKGs on the environment and promotional purposes(as well), have it on hand.
We face this issue almost everywhere all the time (office, school, theater, railway station, information center, hospital, stadium, car, shop, restaurant, bank ...) ... We cannot find the place, where PINKG could be unuseful or unfit. Our Pinkg Project offers a simple and at the same time, an effective preventative solution to the problem of discarded chewing gum.
The production and consumption of chewing gum are huge. According to available statistics, in the U.S., there everyone buys 370 pieces per year. So according to this fact and the number of population (260 million), it would be necessary to provide nearly one trilion of PINKGs only to the United States. Of course, not all of them would be used only for wrapping of the chewing gum. Such a nifty piece of paper could be used, when we want to note down a telephone number, when we need to wipe our glasses, the tip of our ballpoint etc.
Problem situation with gum
We offer the possibility
to minimise this issue while at the same time creating informational and educational methods of communication for the whole of society. Through a consistent preventive approach we would like to achieve the fulfilment of our primary target; that papers for discarded chewing gum become part of the ordinary hygiene custom of individuals (i.e. like the use of paper handkerchiefs).
Disposal of used chewing gum is a worldwide problem. There are many states, where we could be fined for throwing the gum ( eg.during the Olympic Games in Athens - € 20) and in Singapore, there are the chewing gum even banned. From the daily press we know the problems some cities have, where municipal authorities consider the purchase of instruments for chewing gum removal from public areas. Some countries consider tax increases by non-negligible amounts, or the introduction of a so-called “chewing gum” tax, as a means to resolving this issue. Also, this shows us how serious this situation is .
Let me compare some kinds of waste: the dumped chewing gum is worse problem than the core or banana peel, because these types of waste are biodegradace. Also, it is worse than a cigarette-end because it contains bacteria and it sticks.
